Who is the controller of your data

The controller is Josef Novák, trading as Limousine Mercedes, registered at Pod Třebešínem 3064/5, Strašnice, 100 00 Praha 10, Czech Republic, company ID 66682011, VAT ID CZ7510172461. We provide chauffeur-driven passenger transport in Mercedes-Benz vehicles.

For anything concerning personal data, write to info@limousine-mercedes.cz or call +420 608 94 94 46. We have not appointed a data protection officer, as the law does not require us to.

What data we process and why

We mainly process data you give us yourself, together with the technical data this requires, namely:

Enquiry form

Name, company, e-mail, phone, pick-up location, destination, date, time, vehicle type, number of passengers and your message. We need this to reply and prepare a quote. The legal basis is taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

Technical data attached to an enquiry

The IP address the enquiry was sent from. We attach it to the message so that we can recognise and block abuse of the form (spam, repeated automated submissions). For the same purpose the server keeps a one-way hash of the IP address from which the original address cannot be read and the time of submission for 10 minutes, after which the record deletes itself. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in protecting the form (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The IP address is kept together with the enquiry for the period stated below.

E-mail and phone correspondence

Contact details and the content of messages you exchange with us. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Confirmed bookings

Billing and identification data required to provide the service and issue a tax document. The legal basis is performance of a contract and compliance with accounting and tax obligations (Art. 6(1)(b) and (c) GDPR).

Offers by e-mail (optional)

If you tick the separate box in the enquiry form, we store your name and e-mail in our address book and may occasionally send you information about our services. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link in every message or by e-mail. Without ticking that box we send you nothing.

Technical cookies and browser storage

The website sets no cookies of its own. In your browser's storage (localStorage) it only remembers that you have acknowledged the cookie notice and whether you have hidden the quick-contact prompt — this information is never sent anywhere. When traffic looks unusual, the hosting provider's protection layer may briefly store a technical cookie to verify that the page is not being opened by an automated bot. We use no analytics, marketing or profiling tools and pass no data to advertising systems. Under Section 89(3) of Czech Act No. 127/2005 Coll. this use does not require your consent.

How long we keep your data

Data from an enquiry that did not lead to a booking is kept for a maximum of 12 months from the last communication, then deleted.

Data relating to a completed journey is kept for the duration of the contractual relationship and afterwards for the period required by law — for tax documents typically 10 years from the end of the tax period.

Who we share data with

We never sell your data or pass it to third parties for marketing. Only processors providing services essential to our operation have access:

Website hosting

WEDOS Internet, a.s., Hluboká nad Vltavou — running the website and processing the enquiry form on servers in the Czech Republic.

E-mail service

Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc.) — technical delivery of enquiry-form messages to our inbox.

Accountants and tax advisers

Processing accounting records relating to the service provided.

Contracted chauffeurs and partners

Only the data needed for a specific journey (name, phone, pick-up place and time).

Some of these processors may store data on servers outside the European Economic Area. In that case the transfer is covered by standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.

How we protect your data

The website runs exclusively over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Enquiries are accessible only to the limited group of people who need them to handle your request. Our chauffeurs are bound by confidentiality — discretion is the foundation of our service.

Your rights

In connection with the processing of your personal data you have the right:

to know what data we process about you and to obtain a copy.

to have inaccurate data corrected or incomplete data completed.

to erasure

to have your data deleted where we no longer have grounds to process it.

to restriction

to have us temporarily stop working with your data.

to portability

to receive your data in a machine-readable format or have it sent to another controller.

to processing based on our legitimate interest.

If you believe we are not handling your data properly, you may lodge a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection, Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Prague 7, www.uoou.cz.

We may update this policy from time to time, for example when our services or the tools we use change. The current version is always available on this page and the date of the last update appears at the top.
